As a follow-up to my posting of 'The original monstercock' a couple of weeks ago, here's the first gay ACTION film JH did, an 8mm loop, probably made a year or so afterward. (This, I expect, is the scene Billy-Balls mentioned.) In those pre-"Johnny Wadd/John C. Holmes" days, he was often ID'd in gay mags as "Mike Spaulding" (when ID'd at all)and that was the case here--where the scenario has him playing a str8 LA hustler visiting a gay client for some poolside sex. (He is, admittedly, a good deal less than potent in this famous but finally unsatifying scene.) BTW, it was this loop, not the softcore stuff, that was constantly thrown back at him during his ascent to str8 porn stardom. Given the career pressure put on him, he stubbornly refused to admit he'd done the clip, claiming the stud in question was "some German guy" who looked like him. [I was sure this footage was in the archive, but I couldn't find it just now.]
